Interesting take on how people are, but I don’t agree with most of this. I am probably older than the writer, but in my experience, people that have very negative attitudes/neuroses towards themselves and others on a regular basis usually have a lot of psychological problems that haven’t been dealt with yet. This doesn’t mean they can’t be helped or should be demeaned either.

Also, if someone said to me ‘maybe we should stop complaining’ I would definitely not brush them off, in fact I would admire them for their wisdom and truth and say so! I know people that hardly ever complain or live in self-pity as they hold themselves to a higher standard. That’s because they value themselves, are emotionally mature and enjoy being that way. Mature, compassionate people do not find it so hard to ‘tell their truth’ either. It’s just part of life and evolution.

There will always be some people who like to feel superior to others (because they don’t have self-love, maturity or wisdom) and mean, jealous, arrogant and petty people but these traits are usually part of their personality until the day they die. For example, I’ve never met a mean person who one day, was not… They serve as a good example of how not to live life. The people not like these; the kind, considerate, humble, open-minded and lovable are the ones you want hang on to!
