I think the title of this article is rather cynical, shallow and misleading. Of course your love may die for someone, if they haven’t treated you well, though there still is no guarantee. However, most self-respecting people only enter into relationships where they believe they will thrive in the first place and both partners enjoy caring for and treating each other well. In this case, there may be other reasons that a relationship has to end, but it doesn’t mean your love or respect for the other person will die — ever, especially if it’s a real profound love that has lasted for many years…

If you cannot be with the one you love, you can still enjoy thinking of them and remembering how their special qualities gave you hope. You may feel eternally grateful that you ever met them in your lifetime.
