I think it is a privilege to be the lover in a situation as the feeling of true love for someone makes you feel that life is worth living and it also makes you feel passionate, alive, vulnerable and strong. It doesn’t matter if you never see the beloved either. If you happen to be the beloved, even by someone you do not have feelings for, this is still a fine position to be in. I can’t understand why this would make anyone feel uncomfortable. Personally I find it very comforting and flattering that someone would genuinely love me despite myself and anything I do and it wouldn’t matter who they were. After all, many people feel that in this world, there’s not enough love to go round … So when you come across any real love, you can be well pleased if you’re the lover or the beloved! There is nothing to fear either way.
